Event: Running For Bright Sparks

On the 27th June 2021 a team of 14 Bright Sparks supporters will be running the Brighton Half Marathon aiming to raise at least £4000.

Recruited by the school’s Co-Founder Gail Edwards, our running team members are dusting out their lycra, tightening up their laces – and pounding their parks & tracks as they train for the big day.

The big day will take runners alongside Brighton’s famous seafront pass the i360 tower, Palace Pier and Pavilion.

One of our Trustees Emma Sleight, a seasoned Marathon runner, is treating the event as training ground for a full Marathon in Reykjavik, Iceland on the 21st August – Go Emma!

After a challenging period for fundraising it’s great that we can see the return of event fundraising and especially with such a strong team.

For those looking for the double whammy of getting fit after lockdown – whilst giving the gift of education and life chances – we can still access places until the 29th May. Runners have to commit to raising a minimum of £250 and Bright Sparks covers the £80 charge per place.
